Ebro Resilience, present at the summer courses of the Menéndez Pelayo University in Santander

The LIFE Ebro Resilience P1va Project will participate in the summer courses of the Menéndez Pelayo University (UIMP). The course Flood risk: perspectives from flood management and land use planning will be held at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander on 23 and 24 June and includes Ebro Resilience as a case study.

The course is organized by the UIMP in collaboration with Botín and for information and registration:

REGISTRATION

The meeting, with a topical and crucial issue for society, aims to analyze flood management from different perspectives by experts in the field belonging to the public administration, research and the private sector. In this context, experiences and case studies in Spain will be shared that exemplify success stories and illustrate possible ways of improvement, a block in which LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 is inserted.

Among other issues, and together with the presentation of these cases, the European Flood Directive will be addressed by the Deputy Director General for Water Protection and Risk Management in the Directorate General for Water of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Francisco Javier Sánchez, or the economic impact of floods with the intervention of Alberto Garrido, Professor of Agricultural Economics, Statistics and Management and Business of the Polytechnic University of Madrid and of the Botín Foundation’s Water Observatory.
