Third call for subsidies from the Government of Navarra for adaptation to flood risk

On June 27, the Government of Navarra published the third call for grants for adaptation to flood risk in the middle stretch of the Ebro in Navarra, within the Ebro Resilience Strategy and within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union NextGenerationEU.

Applications can be submitted until September 1.

• Intended for individuals or legal entities, private entities and homeowners’ associations.
• The categories of eligible actions are the acquisition and installation of equipment, actions to adapt vulnerable elements or agricultural and livestock farms to the risk of flooding and the drafting of self-protection plans for companies, campsites, sports and leisure facilities, residences for the elderly, etc., located in flood zones, as well as the implementation of related warning and alert systems.
• The amount of the subsidy for each action is 75% of the budget that has been considered eligible for financing, excluding VAT, considering a maximum aid for each action of 50,000 euros. The total funding is 306,323 euros, expandable to 150,000 euros more, and the subsidies will be granted by the system of competitive concurrence.
• The scope is the Navarre municipalities of the middle stretch of the Ebro and those of its main tributaries in the Autonomous Community: Ega, Arga, Aragón, Alhama, Queiles and Huecha.

With the aim of disseminating and clarifying all doubts in good time, the Government of Navarra, with the collaboration of the public company OREKAN- Gestión Ambiental de Navarra, organized two webinars during the month of June to present the call and answer all possible queries.
