European Commission highlights the progress of LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 and the coordination of its partners

The European Union has shown its interest in the actions for the reduction of flood risk in the middle stretch of the Ebro, with significant progress in the planned work and this was conveyed by the representative of CINEA, Federico de Filippi, who attended the coordination and monitoring meetings and, together with institutional representatives, visited the intervention areas of the Project.

Through PHASE 1 of the adaptation to flood risk of an agricultural area of the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 project, which has eliminated the narrowing of the river in the Mejana del Conde and the Meandro de Aguilar.

Enjoying the river and learning about floods: two new interpretive trails in October

On Saturday, October 4, we will walk through the Ebro copses between Castejón (Navarra) and Alfaro (La Rioja) and on Saturday, October 18, we will walk through the meander of Aguilar, in Fuentes de Ebro, where we will be able to see the works in progress for the adaptation to flooding in this area.

Tools to broaden knowledge about rivers: a glossary to better understand each other

One of the action lines of the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project is social capacity building: increasing shared knowledge on rivers and floods, fostering networking among the riparian population, facilitating common tools to be more resilient, having a reference glossary to use the same terms and understand them, is a step in that direction.

The exhibition ‘When the river recovers its space’ spends the summer in Alfaro

The Interpretation Center 'Los Sotos de Alfaro y sus Cigüeñas' hosts this photographic exhibition linked to the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project and focuses on adaptation to floods through nature-based solutions and can be visited free of charge until September 21.

Third call for subsidies from the Government of Navarra for adaptation to flood risk

This call will be open until September 1 for individuals or legal entities, private entities and communities of owners in the middle stretch of the Navarre Ebro and its main tributaries (Ega, Arga, Aragón, Alhama, Queiles and Huecha) within the framework of the Ebro Resilience Strategy and with NextGeneration Funds.

Video “Adaptation is possible: real solutions to unavoidable floods. Osera de Ebro-Fuentes de Ebro stretch”

A new video LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 shows the effects of floods when they are encountered with narrowing of the river due to the presence of defenses and explains in a simple way the proposals for adaptation to flooding of agriculture associated with the river area.

First irrigation campaign with a system more adapted to floods in Fuentes de Ebro

This irrigation campaign, which began in the spring, is the first in which the Irrigation Community of the Huerta del Ebro, in Fuentes de Ebro (Zaragoza), has made use of the new section of its network adapted to the risk of flooding, more efficient, moreover, in which losses and maintenance have been reduced.
