The Government of Aragon, through the Aragonese Water Institute (IAA), partner of the Ebro Resilience Strategy and the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project, has opened on November 25 a new call for grants addressed to local entities of Aragon. The objective is to improve the preparedness and adaptation of the municipalities to the risk of floods, reinforcing the safety of the population and the protection of the fluvial environments of the Ebro riverbanks.

The implementation period of the grants is 2026-2027, with a total budget of 600,000 € (200,000 € for plans and 400,000 € for preventive actions).

The IAA has managed 8 previous calls on floods, benefiting 119 Aragonese municipalities, which demonstrates a consolidated track record of support for adaptation and prevention against flood risk.
