From the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project we are involving the local population in the development of the interventions we carry out for flood risk reduction.
Therefore, we invite all interested individuals to a deliberative meeting where we will collectively reflect on the future uses of the land in the Aguilar meander, one of the project areas. The forum will take place on November 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
During the visit, we will learn about the ongoing projects at the Meander, and we will create a space to jointly evaluate possible uses for the land that has been restored as a floodplain (e.g., potential rest areas, informational signs, interpretive trails, etc.). The forum is open to anyone in the area who is interested. We want to encourage the local community to enjoy the river, the meander, and its natural surroundings.
We’ll meet in the parking lot of Elena Restaurant at 9:30 a.m. From there, we’ll take a bus to the Meandro, where we’ll begin an easy hike of about 4 km, including a stop for a discussion on future uses compatible with flooding. Around 12:00 p.m., the bus will pick us up and take us back to Fuentes.
