The Ebro Resilience Strategy and the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project have received a special mention in the \u201cIUCA con Ciencia\u201d Award<\/strong>, presented by the University Institute of Environmental Sciences of Aragon (IUCA) at the University of Zaragoza, as part of the 30th edition of the La Almunia Film Festival (FESCILA) in Zaragoza.<\/p>\n

This recognition of \u201chis commitment to the audiovisual format, highlighting his dedication to audiovisual science communication,\u201d highlights the work done to help the public understand, in a clear and accessible way, flood risk adaptation in the middle section of the Ebro River, as well as the importance of the river, its surrounding area, and the environmental values it encompasses.<\/p>\n

The award recognizes the commitment to using audiovisual media as a tool for the transfer of scientific and technical knowledge, and the Ebro Resilience Strategy and the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project have always considered this to contribute to a better understanding of the challenges associated with flooding and the solutions being promoted.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Production<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since the launch of the Ebro Resilience Strategy and the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project, 76 videos<\/strong> have been produced , targeting a wide variety of audiences<\/strong>: informative segments on the Strategy\u2019s and the LIFE project\u2019s initiatives, short videos on key concepts related to flood risk, vlogs, content aimed at children, including a storyteller, testimonials from local residents and organizations, reports on activities such as interpretive river trips along sections of the Ebro, and videos highlighting the river\u2019s environmental values.<\/p>\n

All of this content is available on the Ebro Resilience YouTube channel<\/a> <\/strong>and in the videos section of the website<\/a>, aims to make technical knowledge accessible to the public through clear, visual, and accessible language.<\/p>\n

Ebro Resilience would like to thank the jury for this award and the IUCA for promoting initiatives that foster scientific and technical outreach through audiovisual media.<\/p>\n

Ebro Resilience Strategy and LIFE <\/strong><\/p>

Ebro Resilience is a collaborative mechanism for the management of actions in the Ebro axis, specifically in the Logro\u00f1o – La Zaida (Zaragoza) section, which has particular characteristics compared to other areas of the basin, with a high exposure to flooding.<\/p>

It is based on the implementation of a combination of measures to improve resilience in the wake of floods\u2014which are natural and inevitable phenomena\u2014for which there is no single effective solution. It also seeks to implement interventions that are compatible with sustainable development. <\/p>

The LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project is an example of inter-agency cooperation aimed at adapting to flood risk in the middle reaches of the Ebro River. With a budget of 13.3 million euros<\/strong>, co-financed by the European Commission\u2019s LIFE Program<\/strong>, the project is implementing actions in two intervention areas: Alfaro (La Rioja) \u2013 Castej\u00f3n (Navarre)<\/strong> and Osera de Ebro \u2013 Fuentes de Ebro (Zaragoza)<\/strong>. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
