{"id":10754,"date":"2024-04-18T15:33:55","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T13:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/informative-meetings-to-present-the-river-restoration-projects-for-two-stretches-of-the-ebro-river\/"},"modified":"2024-04-18T15:51:28","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T13:51:28","slug":"informative-meetings-to-present-the-river-restoration-projects-for-two-stretches-of-the-ebro-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/en\/informative-meetings-to-present-the-river-restoration-projects-for-two-stretches-of-the-ebro-river\/","title":{"rendered":"Informative meetings to present the river restoration projects for two stretches of the Ebro river"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>The actions, within the framework of the Ebro Resilience Strategy, will have an investment of 4.6 million euros. <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aragon.es\/-\/instituto-aragones-del-agua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aragonese Water Institute<\/a><\/strong> (IAA) has held a <strong>round of meetings open<\/strong> <strong>to the public<\/strong> to present the <strong>river restoration projects<\/strong> for <strong>sections <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/en\/avance-del-proyecto\/estudios_detalle\/ebro-in-alcala-de-ebro-and-remolinos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">7 Alcal\u00e1-Remolinos<\/a> and<\/strong>9 Torres de Berrell\u00e9n-Sobradiel. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/en\/avance-del-proyecto\/estudios_detalle\/ebro-in-torres-de-berrellen-and-sobradiel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">9 Torres de Berrell\u00e9n-Sobradiel<\/a><\/strong> of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/en\/ebro-resilience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ebro Resilience Strategy<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>On April 9, 2008, the following were published in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boa.aragon.es\/#\/resultados-fecha?from=busquedaCalendarioHome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Official Gazette of Arag\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong> the announcements by which the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aragon.es\/-\/instituto-aragones-del-agua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Government of Arag\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong>through the <strong>IAA<\/strong>, submitted these projects, with a <strong>budget of 1.8 and 2.8 million euros<\/strong>, respectively, for public information.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>Ebro Resilience Strategy<\/strong> aims to be a framework for collaboration between the different administrations, as well as other stakeholders, to work in solidarity and coordination in flood risk management in the middle stretch of the Ebro River.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>A total of 260 kilometers<\/strong> of the Ebro River <strong>are being studied<\/strong>, divided into sections, in order to <strong>evaluate the current protection of urban centers for floods<\/strong> with a return period equal to or less than 25 years. In addition, potential damages in non-urban areas are studied for floods with a 10-year return period.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"Information meeting in Remolinos to present river restoration projects\" class=\"wp-image-10748\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-260x146.jpeg 260w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-50x28.jpeg 50w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos-133x75.jpeg 133w, https:\/\/www.ebroresilience.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Remolinos.jpeg 2040w\" sizes=\"(max-width:767px) 480px, (max-width:1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Information meeting in Remolinos to present river restoration projects<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n<p>The <strong>Strategy<\/strong> involves the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miteco.gob.es\/es.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge<\/a><\/strong>the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chebro.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hydrographic Confederation of the Ebro<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong>Autonomous Communities of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aragon.es\/-\/instituto-aragones-del-agua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aragon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.larioja.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La Rioja<\/a><\/strong> and Navarre. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.navarra.es\/es\/inicio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Navarra<\/a><\/strong>working together in the implementation of the selected measures.<\/p>\n\n<p>Sessions have been held in the town councils of <strong>Torres de Berrell\u00e9n<\/strong>, <strong>Sobradiel<\/strong>, <strong>Remolinos<\/strong> and <strong>Alcal\u00e1 de Ebro<\/strong> to explain the actions of these projects. The section <strong>7 Alcala de Ebro-Remolinos-Luceni<\/strong> has a <strong>1.8 million euro execution budget<\/strong> and the actions are focused on a stretch of <strong>11 kilometers<\/strong>In addition, three existing defenses will be eliminated, the existing security perimeters will be improved and measures will be taken to improve the riparian vegetation.<\/p>\n\n<p>With regard to the <strong>9 Torres de Berrell\u00e9n-Sobradiel<\/strong>with a <strong>2.8 million euro budget<\/strong>In addition, two sections of defenses located on the right bank of the Ebro will be removed, a ditch will be buried and security perimeters will be built in urban areas, as well as measures to improve the vegetation on the riverbank.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The actions, within the framework of the Ebro Resilience Strategy, will have an investment of 4.6 million euros.
