SUMMARY:LIFE Interpretive Walking Trail Through the Ebro Oak Groves (Castejón-Alfaro)
DESCRIPTION:Next Sunday\, October 25\, we invite you to join us on a nature trail through the Ebro river groves between Castejón and Alfaro.  \nThe route will start in Castejón and take us from the water intake station to La Roza (Alfaro). The activity is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The trail is scenic and offers plenty of interesting points of interest; it is about 6 km long\, flat\, and accessible to everyone. We will make stops along the way for explanations.    \nDuring the activity\, key issues on the reduction and adaptation to flood risk in this stretch of the river will be addressed\, and dialogue with participants will be encouraged. It is an opportunity to learn about the biodiversity of the groves and reflect on how to coexist with the Ebro floods.   \nCome with comfortable clothes\, hat\, water\, walking shoes and walking sticks if you use them regularly. \nSign up at this link. SUMMARY:LIFE – Local Forum on the Future Use of Land in the Aguilar Meander
DESCRIPTION:From the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project we are involving the local population in the development of the interventions we carry out for flood risk reduction. \nTherefore\, we invite all interested individuals to a deliberative meeting where we will collectively reflect on the future uses of the land in the Aguilar meander\, one of the project areas. The forum will take place on November 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.   \nDuring the visit\, we will learn about the ongoing projects at the Meander\, and we will create a space to jointly evaluate possible uses for the land that has been restored as a floodplain (e.g.\, potential rest areas\, informational signs\, interpretive trails\, etc.). The forum is open to anyone in the area who is interested. We want to encourage the local community to enjoy the river\, the meander\, and its natural surroundings.   \nWe’ll meet in the parking lot of Elena Restaurant at 9:30 a.m. From there\, we’ll take a bus to the Meandro\, where we’ll begin an easy hike of about 4 km\, including a stop for a discussion on future uses compatible with flooding.
